30 Sep 3 Bedroom apartment proposal in Punggol with walk-in wardrobe
What the designer does with the apartment is to incorporate several rooms within just one room. We see the example in the living area, in the bedroom area with study corner, and in the kitchen with a bar section. But a room within the room design tells just half the story. The other half is the extraordinary carpentry work in every room.
Let’s start from the living area and the TV feature wall. With a reflective background for the TV feature wall, the designer fits this piece into the modern interior. But what is impressive is the side section. By placing the feature wall several inches from the standard wall, the designer uses the extra space to add a library, book shelves section on the side.
Further in the living area, the designer adds raw timber to several furniture elements. For example, the standard coffee table looks unique with the addition of raw timber on top of it.
The living area is spacious, and one of the reasons is the layout and the shoe cabinet. In his goal to let the room benefit from the extra space, the designer installs a small shoe cabinet, with shelves in the upper part. The cabinet serves as a faux wall, but thanks to the transparent design, the light an air flow through the whole room.
Going into the kitchen, the Western influence is clear. The designer installs a floating shelve, which serves as a bar, bistro like countertop. Toss in two unique chairs and you get another room within the kitchen.
For the master bedroom, we see a clear distinction from typical modern bedrooms. For starters, the mattress is placed right on the floor, which puts the bed lower to the ground. But the carpentry work is excellent in the room, with a separate office section, seating area next to the bay windows, and a floor to ceiling wardrobe cabinet with a powder corner integrated within it.
