28 Nov Kitchen Countertop: What Material Is Best? Part 1
One element of the kitchen that is often overlooked is the kitchen countertop. If you are on a tight budget, you may want to choose solid surface as it’s cheaper. It comes in two grades, polyester resin and acrylic.
Acrylic is more expensive but it is harder and has a higher resistance to chipping and cracking.
In the second example, we see how the same white acrylic countertop can be combined in an all-white interior. When going white, it is best to use MDF high gloss material for the finishing of the kitchen elements, as it delivers the best results.
Finally, in the third option we see a more colorful scheme. The designer uses quarts as the material for the kitchen countertop, and its black shinny outlook is perfect when paired with a bold color like violet here. Other colors that come to mind are red, cobalt blue and emerald green.
